Gay marriage now legal in the State of NJ
The Court holds that under the equal protection guarantee of Article I, Paragraph 1 of the New Jersey Constitution, committed samesex couples must be afforded on equal terms the same rights and benefits enjoyed by opposite-sex couples under the civil marriage statutes.

Fully automated DORM ROOM!

Al Pacino Starts His Own Podcast
To promote his leading role in a recently opened Los Angeles adaptation of Oscar Wilde's "Salome," Mr. Pacino is talking about the play in a series of video podcasts available on the Web. Mr. Pacino plans to use the podcasts in "Salomaybe," a documentary film he's making about the production.

The Artificial Prison of the Human Mind
In 1963, a study about prisons was funded by the U.S. Navy to try to better understand problems in the Marine Corps.' prisons. The study was run by a group of researchers at Stanford, led by psychologist Philip G. Zimbardo. The idea was to create a controlled environment in the Stanford halls to simulate a prison.

Do it yourself .Mac - get the basics without $99 a year!
This guy created his own local .Mac emulation - all the way from iCal publishing to tricking it into using the Backup program. He gives explict instructions on how to set this up. He gives example with a FreeBSD server, but he says it can be implemented easily on other platforms.

Microsoft breaks QuickTime export on the Mac
MS recently bought Flip4Mac (a WMV plugin for QuickTime), which they are distributing for free. It turns out, that this plugin breaks QT export and users are not happy.
